If our delivery driver cannot safely get to your propane and heating oil tank, they will not be able to fill it. That can land you in a pickle if you end up running low or, worse, running out of fuel.
In the winter, that means keeping your driveway safely clear of snow and ice and maintaining a safe path at least one foot wide to your tank. However, obstacles and safety concerns remain after the snow melts, and we appreciate your help in keeping our propane and heating oil deliveries safe and dependable.
Here are ways you can make sure we can always safely deliver your propane and heating oil on schedule.
Schedule a fuel delivery before your tank falls below 25% full. Doing this avoids the need for an emergency propane or heating oil delivery. The fewer emergency deliveries we need to make, the more we can keep our schedule for everyone, including you. You can avoid this worry if you enroll in Automatic Delivery!
Make sure your driveway and tank are accessible. Do you have a gate on your driveway? Make sure it is open for us the day of your scheduled delivery. Remove bicycles, scooters, toys, and other items from the driveway and the path to your propane or heating oil tank. Don’t forget to remove any pet poop from the path to your tank, as it can cause slipping when the delivery driver is carrying that heavy hose to your tank.
Keep pets and children away. Our drivers are driving large trucks that cannot always stop on a dime. When the delivery driver is bringing the hose to and from your tank, pets running underfoot can cause a fall. The hose can also be a tripping hazard for kids.
